Craighead, Lange & Hough, P.C. is a local based accounting firm conveniently located between Chicago and South Bend in Michigan City, Indiana. Our Firm also has offices in Angola, Indiana and South Holland, Illinois.

John has over 30 years experience in public and private accounting. He founded the Firm in 1992 and currently serves as the Firm’s vice-president. He has CPA certification in the State of Indiana and the State of Illinois. He has also earned certification as a Certified Valuation Analyst. John’s early career work includes: staff accountant at a large local CPA firm, assistant to the controller at a manufacturing entity and senior staff accountant at a local firm. John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Indiana and Illinois State CPA Societies as well as the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Portage Township YMCA and was also president of the organization for two terms. John has twice received the United Way Agency Volunteer Award and has once received the Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce Humanitarian Award. John graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana with a B.S. in accounting.

Bob has over 20 years experience in public accounting. Bob earned his CPA certification in 1988 and received recognition for his outstanding score on the CPA examination. Bob joined the Firm in 1993 and became an owner in 1995. Bob is now the president of the Firm. Bob started his career as a staff accountant at a local public firm. He also managed a small public firm before joining the Firm’s staff. Bob specializes in service companies, transportation and logistics organizations, construction industries and medical practices. He has CPA certification in Indiana and Illinois and is a member of the Indiana and Illinois State CPA Societies and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Bob is also the treasurer of his church and has been involved in his local Cal Ripken Youth Baseball League for the past 11 years. He has served as president of inter-collegiate ministries, vice-president of the Kiwanis International in North Webster, Indiana and secretary for the Warsaw Exchange Club. Bob graduated from Manchester College with a B.S. in accounting.

Linda has over 20 years experience in public and private accounting. She joined the Firm in 1997 and became an owner in 1999. Linda initiated her career at a small local accounting firm, where she earned CPA certification. She then moved to a large regional firm, working as senior audit manager, specializing in the manufacturing industry. Linda acquired further specialization by serving as a controller for two related manufacturing entities. Linda currently serves as the Firm’s audit manager and human resource administrator. Linda has CPA certification in Indiana and Illinois she is a member of the Indiana and Illinois State CPA Societies and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Linda is active in numerous community organizations. She currently serves as treasurer of the LaPorte County Child Abuse Prevention Council, Inc., vice-chairman of Michiana Resources a rehabilitation agency for people with disabilities, treasurer of the Regional Development Corp. which administers SBA 504 Loans, the board of the LaPorte County Revolving Loan Fund and the Advisory Board of Brown Mackie College. In recognition of her services to her profession and community, Linda was awarded the Athena Award in 2006 by the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce. Linda graduated with a B.S. with Distinction in business from Indiana University.
