Tony Gillisse, CPA, recipient of Lester Radke Community Service Award

Tony Gillisse, CPA and partner at CLH, CPAs & Consultants, will accept this year’s Lester Radke Community Service Award. This award is presented by Dunebrook, the child abuse prevention and child advocacy center, to an individual for their service to the organization. Gillisse will be honored at Dunebrook’s premier 30th anniversary gala and fundraiser, Pinwheels & Pearls, on Thursday, May 16. Gillisse has contributed his talents to Dunebrook by serving as Treasurer from 2003-2009, and more recently from 2015 to present.

“I never expected to be nominated for this award,” commented Gillisse. “It’s such an honor to be included with others who have previously received this award.” Said Gillisse, “Seeing Dunebrook to grow from year to year, and having the privilege of being a part of that process, is so rewarding.”

Jeanne Cannon, Executive Director of Dunebrook, emphasized Gillisse’s thoughtfulness toward Dunebrook. “There are special people in this world who are filled with passion, talent, and a mission to help others. Tony Gillisse is one of those very special people. He has gone above and beyond in his ability to guide our financial path during those years and substantially guided our present day growth.” Cannon continued, “His knowledge and expertise has been priceless as we accomplished our strategic planning process and subsequent action plans. We are forever grateful for his contributions to the organization.”

Gillisse’s service to Dunebrook has encouraged others at CLH, CPAs & Consultants to become more involved in community organizations. Robert Lange, III, Partner at CLH, remarked, “It’s an honor to our firm to have Tony receive this distinguished award for his service to Dunebrook.” Lange added, “We try to instill the importance of community involvement and service with all of our staff. Contributing our professional and personal skills to community organizations is both encouraged and celebrated at CLH. We consider it our responsibility to give back to our communities.”
