JOHN A. CRAIGHEAD, CPA, CVA

He has CPA certification in the State of Indiana and the State of Illinois, and is also a Certified Valuation Analyst. John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Indiana and Illinois State CPA Societies, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. In his early career, he served as a staff accountant at a large CPA firm, an assistant to the controller at a manufacturing entity, and a senior staff accountant and owner at a local CPA firm. John grew up in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana, with a B.S. in Accounting.

His financial service doesn’t end at the office. He served for a number of years as a member of the Board of Directors of the Portage Township YMCA and was also president of the organization for two terms. John has twice received the United Way Agency Volunteer Award and in 2006 received the Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce Humanitarian Award. In 2010, John was the recipient of the Outstanding Volunteer Award from the Porter County Community Foundation. When he’s not consulting with his clients, John enjoys training for triathlons, running long distances, and spending time outdoors hiking, swimming, and home landscaping.
